  1. DESCRIPTION

  3. exam.cls is a LaTeX2e class meant for the production
  4. of exam questions. It is built as an extension to
  5. existing document classes like article, etc.
  6.  
  7. With exam.cls one can:
  8. - produce an exam
  9. - produce an exam with answers
  10. - produce a collection of exam questions
  11.  
  12. Various forms of questions are possible:
  13. - multiple choice
  14. - short answer
  15. - long answer
  16.  
  17. It is possible to collect small variations of a question
  18. into one main question and select the different possibilities
  19. with a parameter. Also builtin is a random generator, providing
  20. random shuffling of multiple choice alternatives, etc.

  22. INSTALLATION
  23.  
  24. First produce exam.cls by running exam.ins on exam.dtx,
  25. then typeset the documentation in exam.dtx (the examples
  26. in the tutorial section of the documentation use exam.cls).
